VIENNA – NEW VIENNESE SCHOOL BUILDINGS

In response to Vienna’s dynamic population growth, which will require the construction of around 100 classes per year until 2025 to cover the need for compulsory school places, the city of Vienna has launched a large school building program. In addition to comprehensive renovation measures for existing schools, a number of new construction projects are currently being implemented as part of the school renovation package. Social developments and modern pedagogical principles are included in the school buildings. The new “Campus plus” concept, meaning that nurseries and schools are based under one roof, is already largely implemented in the new buildings.
