Innovative proposals surrounded by water
Stockholm, also known as the “Venice of the North“, is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Set on 14 islands joined by bridges, the city has a natural and relaxing relationship with water, offering spectacular views from any of the districts.
The architecture and contemporary construction of this city grew very slowly for a few years, but recently increased, with innovative and fresh proposals developed by great architects such as Gert Wingärdh with the Museum of Art of Sven Harry and the Medical Hall of the Karolinska Institutet. White Architects has also contributed to this growth with projects such as the new Hammarbysjöstad residential area and the Klara Hotell och Konferens. One of the largest new districts is the Hagastaden, which contains buildings under construction such as the Tors Torn towers by OMA, which will be among the tallest buildings in the country.
