Project Description

Charming and alive

Havana, capital of Cuba, is a city full of life. Its colors, the music and the joy of its people make the city a unique destination.

The different phases of Cuba’s history have left their mark on architecture. The Colonial, Baroque and Neo-classical styles are mixed with buildings influenced by the international movements of Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Eclectic built during the boom of the Cuban economy. Modernist monumental works such as the Plaza de la Revolucion, the political center of the country, are the symbol of an exceptional time in the city. From the Cuban Revolution, the construction works have a marked social character. We emphasize the strong Soviet influence and the introduction of prefabricated elements. In 1982 the historic center of Havana has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and in recent years has undergone various restorations.
