Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra is one of the most admired architects of the current national scene. Gold Medal of Spanish Architecture, National Spanish Architecture Prize 2005, Andalusia Architecture Award 2007, Arpafil Prize (Guadalajara, Mexico) 2006, Grand Prize of the International Biennial of Buenos Aires 2011 and Honorary Member of the American Institute of Architects, AIA 2014.

His works have received numerous awards, including the ArchDaily Building of the 2018 Year Award, The 2015 Plan Award, The Chicago Athenaeum Museum 2015 and 2018 International Architecture Awards, 2014 Iberoamerican Biennial Prize, 2008 Ugo Rivolta European Architecture Prize , 2006 ASCER Prize, “Il Principe e l’Architetto” Prize 2003, Fundación CEOE Prize 2001 and Construmat Prize 1989.

He has participated in multiple exhibitions highlighting the Biennale di Venecia 1980 and 2004, the Triennale di Milano 1988, Center Georges Pompidou Paris 1990, The Art Institute of Chicago 1992, The Museum of Modern Art New York 2006, RIBA London 2007, DOMUSae Madrid 2010, BIAU Rosario, Argentina 2014 and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design 2016 and 2018.
