DESCRIPTION – Pamplona: Contemporary Architecture
Pamplona is a city built on top of a hill, and which still retains its structure and the walls of the old fortified city and an interesting area of the nineteenth century. One of the most prominent and little known projects by Rafael Moneo is located at the top of the walled hill. It is a splendid rehabilitation that demonstrates the city’s respect for heritage.
In this guided tour by an architect we will visit some of the most emblematic buildings of the city, rehabilitations and interesting works of interior design. We will visit the University area and while touring around, we will approach the award-winning project by architect Patxi Mangado for the Equestrian Center of Ultzama, the awarded Sports Club Zuasti and the Parish Center of St. George by Tabuenca & Leache.
