For this option, consider taking in the breadth and beauty of residential architecture in San Francisco. Walk along Broadway and through Pacific Heights Neighborhood. Known for its amazing views and elegant architecture, there you will be able to see a wide variety of lovely Victorian, classical revival and art deco homes of the 19th and 20th centuries – all unique to San Francisco. Many of the homes, including the famed postcard “Painted ladies” – of historic Victorian and Edwardian style, have ornate iron fences, towers, festoons and frieze bands of wreaths. While on the tour you will also be able to see the famous home of Danielle Steele known as “Sugar place” by George Applegarth in 1915 and Phelan mansion designed in the Renaissance Revival style by Charles Weeks also in 1915. Both are outstanding examples of San Francisco residential architecture. We will walk past some of the most famous Billionaire’s Row mansions, followed by an economical sushi lunch in Japantown. Next, we head to the Iconic “Painted Ladies Row” on Alamo Square where you can snap your iconic postcard shot.
