DESCRIPTION – Lima: The Historical Center

Lima, the city where it almost never rains and where the earth trembles, is built, destroyed and rebuilt over the centuries, it is on its pre-Columbian foundations where the Spaniards founded the City of Kings during the Conquest in  1535.

Today, the capital of Peru is an expanding metropolis of 10 million people that unfolds to infinity on the Pacific coast, at the foot of the Andes.

When visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Historic Center, you will observe the architectures that bear witness to the different stylistic tendencies that influenced the construction of the city.

A few cuadras around the Plaza Mayor you will pass the entrance doors to discover the courtyards, the shaded galleries and the ornate balconies that overlook the busy streets of the city.

Baroque churches and convents, casonas, neoclassical and modern buildings constitute a heart of rhythmic city, contrasted, varied and colorful, as well as Peruvian culture.

Discover this tour in Lima, the capital of Perú, and enjoy the historical center and architecture of the city. Our tours are focused on architecture and urbanism and they are perfect for architecture lovers, experts and professionals as well as groups and student trips.
