DESCRIPTION – Paris: Modern Architecture: Le Corbusier

Paris is undoubtedly the apex of the Modern Movement. One of its main representatives, the Swiss-born architect, Le Corbusier, lived and worked for years in an apartment on the top floor of the property Molitor near the Bois de Boulogne.

In this public transport route we will cross the main works of Le Corbusier in Paris, as well as some of his contemporaries.

We will visit the apartment where the architect lived on the Nungesseret Colistreet, La Roche’s house, home of the Foundation Le Corbusier, and the nearby apartments by Robert Mallet-Stevens. We will head to the University area where we will visit the Swiss Pavilion and one of his mature works: the Maison du Brésil.

During the journey, our architect will help you to better understand the work of these legendary architects and share their ideas about architecture and urbanism.

This itinerary can be completed with an excursion to the city of Savoye, the icon of modern architecture that shows the clearest way of the five points: construction on pilotis, roof garden, free floor, non-structural facade and windows runs.
