LISBON – CLASSIC LISBON

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is the richest and most populated city in the country and is situated at the mouth of the Tagus River to the Atlantic Ocean. With an architecture that mixes the traditional heritage with an impressive modernism, the city hosts a large number of international events and congresses every year, being therefore world famous.

In this guided tour we will discover the classic Lisbon and the city center by doing a 4 hour classic tour of the city. We will start our itinerary by seeing some popular squares of the city such as the Commercial Plaza, Rossio Plaza and Marqués de Pombal Square. Then, we will head to St. George’s Castle (optional entrance), which dates from medieval period of Portuguese history, overlooking the historical centre of Lisbon and is one of the main tourist sites of Lisbon.

To end our tour we will visit the neighborhood of Chiado, known to be a shopping area, where we will see the reconstruction of the area by the architect Álvaro Siza in 1988.
