Philosophy, democracy and remodeling
Athens is known worldwide for its monumental richness in architecture of classical Greece, but also in Greek, Roman and Byzantine art. Although it is also known for its traffic and pollution, this city has undergone a remodeling and urban change in recent years, thanks in part to the 2004 Olympic Games, which have prepared it to become a great European city.
Apart from being the cradle of philosophy and democracy in antiquity, today it is also a contemporary urban center, with projects and proposals of great architects of our time as Renzo Piano with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, MOB architects with the House in Chalandri, Bernard Tschumi with the Museum of the Acropolis and ISV Architects with Villa191, among others.
