Copenhagen is Denmark’s capital; situated on the shores of the cold Baltic Sea, it attracts visitors thanks to its port’sactivity, the great variety of cultural attractions and also for its gastronomy. Despite being the largest city in Denmark, it is a relatively small city, very pleasant to visitors because of its human scale; different from other great European metropolis. In 2023 it has been awarded World Capital of Architecture 2023 by UIA- Unesco.

In addition to the colorful historical architecture of places such as the Nyhavn or the ancient city dating back to medieval times, the Frederiksstaden; Copenhagen also has an assortment of significant examples of avant-garde architecture. This type of architecture has experienced a boom in recent years with works by Danish and international architects such as the Sampension Headquarters, the Royal Playhouse, the National Aquarium, the Black Diamond, the Maritime Museum and the Royal Danish Opera House, among others.
