BELO HORIZONTE

Belo Horizonte has the Sierra del Curral as background, and beautiful works of architecture of European influence or fruit of Brazilian modernism. It is a planned and then built capital, which currently has more than two million inhabitants. It is one of the most important cities of the country and a cultural, gastronomic and economic reference.

The city has several projects by Oscar Niemeyer. We highlight the Pampulha Architectural Complex, a series of buildings around the artificial lake of Pampulha, by Oscar Niemeyer in collaboration with innovative artists. The whole has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2016. Very close to Belo Horizonte is INHOTIM, a beautiful botanical garden-museum that houses one of the most important collections of contemporary art in Brazil, a must-see!
