Project Description

POLAND

Architectural history and variety of styles

Poland has an incredible amount of preserved architecture and an enviable variety of styles accumulated during its long history, all taking into account that in its territory has not originated its own architectural movement. Although many of its Romanesque and other structures were destroyed during the Second World War, a large number of ancient buildings still remain, giving the architecture of the country a particular charm. Apart from the Romanesque, Renaissance and Baroque we can also find the legacy buildings of the communist era. But certainly what no one should miss if visiting Poland is the old city of Krakow where we can find an authentic representation of the rich architectural history of the country.
