Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramon Vilalta (founders of the firm RCR) have won the Price Pritzker, the most important in the architecture sector. The 39th edition of the cerimony has been celebrated in the Akasaka Palace in Tokio, and leaded by the japanese imperator Akihito.

The three partners of the RCR firm have received the price because of their research for univerality from the origins of the location of their projects; and for working from the raltionship between the location and its narrative. RCR is from Catalonia, where most of their works are, but last year they became international with projects in France and Belgium.

It is the second time a spanish firm wins a Pritzker, and the first one in all history that wins a f¡group formed by three architects.
