Description of the tour – Mexico D.F. – 2 days tour

Artchitectours offers a two-day guided tour of Mexico City to learn about the Central Campus of the University City of UNAM and the most important works of great architects of the capital. Travel accompanied by an architect and enjoy a country full of contrasts.

Day 1 : The university city. We will begin the tour guided by the Faculty of Architecture, and an introductory presentation : the process of designing, in the Library Javier Cavallari. We will also visit the central university campus, the concert hall Netzahualcoyotl, by the architect Orso Núñez. Following we will visit the University Museum of Contemporary Art (UMCA), by the architect Teodoro Gonzalez de León, from 2008. We will end our visit with a tour at the university Museum of Sciences and Arts.

Day 2 : We will start by visiting the museum “EL ECO”, by Mathias Goeritz, renovated in 2006. Then we will visit the new seat of the Senate of the Republic, by the architect Javier Muñoz, from the year 2010. We will go to the national audience, to the Museum of Modern Art of Ramirez Vázquez, also to the Museum of Anthropology and History, and the José Vasconcelos Library, by Alberto Kalach. We will end our guided tour by attending the light show.
